At auction featuring high-end vehicles from stars like Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay and ‘Mr. Bean’ actor Rowan Atkinson, Porsche pulls in nearly $80K.

The U.K.’ Classic Car Auctions (CCA) first timed sale has been hailed a great, resulting in $2.13 million worth of cars sold.

“This is a fantastic achievement from the team,” says Gary Dunne, Classic Car Auctions’ Manager. “The results achieved in these circumstances is astonishing. This auction was a feat but, in the end, we made it happen in a safe and responsible way.”

Other star attractions and big sellers included “Mr. Bean” actor Rowan Atkinson’s personal 1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E, which netted $34,450.

The auction also saw Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay’s 1972 BMW 1602 sell for $20,603. This was followed by a 1976 Rolls-Royce formerly owned by Kay selling for $38,504.

Several cars exceeded expectations, including two early Jaguars from the same family: a fixed head 1955 XK140 sold for $53,365, and a 1966 Series 1 E-Type nabbed $52,000.
