On March 28, Classic Car Auctions is hosting a virtual auction featuring some of the rarest and hottest rides around.

Classic Car Auctions is preparing for its first virtual sale, which will be held on March 28 and features 188 fantastic cars that will be auctioned throughout the day from 10 a.m.

“Recent weeks have proved challenging but Classic Car Auctions have been working exceedingly hard behind the scenes to bring their auction to reality with the help of additional partners and suppliers,” said Gary Dunne, Classic Car Auctions’ Manager.

One of the standouts in the mix of enviable cars up for sale is the 1962 Porsche 356 B T6 Super Coupe (pictured above). A cracking little Porsche fitted with a Harry Pellow-built standard engine. Pellow was very well known and influential in 356 circles, where he was known as “The Maestro” for what he did to these engines. This vehicle has reportedly just been serviced and completed a tour of the U.S. West Coast. It is estimated at $52,250 to $58,000.

Cars that featured in successful films and TV shows tend to go on to make that model famous. In the 1980s one of the most famous programs was Magnum PI where Tom Selleck drove the classic Ferrari 308 around Oahu. The program went on to make this a very highly desirable model and Classic Car Auctions is offering a sleek 1981 308 GTS. Presented in the classic colors of Rosso Corsa with Nero leather interior, the car was imported into the U.K. in 1997, where it has been beautifully maintained. This European specification car is in left-hand drive. It is estimated at $37,200 to $42,982.

Another find worth mentioning from the lot is a 1997 BMW 840Ci Sport, which has been part of a private collection since 2017 and when new was used by Hollard Park BMW as a demonstrator. Featuring Deep Orient Blue with light grey Nappa leather, this car was taken off the road in 2006 until 2012. Estimated at $30,200 to $35,000.

“‘We always have a great selection of German engineering at its best, BMWs, Mercedes, Porsche…but this selection is what could easily be termed best of breed and are each just slightly out of the ordinary,” said Dunne. “We have put in place lots of additional resources to support online bidding with Proxibid, The Saleroom and Invaluable for our virtual auction. We also have additional phone lines and you can leave a commission bid. Where possible, we will be adding video content of the interior, exterior and with the engine running for each Lot.”

The auction will begin at 10 a.m. on March 28.
