000 Magazine: The Perfect Holiday Gift for the Porsche Reader in Your Life

000 Magazine

000 Magazine is perfect for those who enjoy the old-fashioned experience of reading about Porsche in a non-digital format.

We all love to read about Porsche. That is likely why you are reading these words right now. Like most aspects of daily life, the digital world has taken over how we read. Books and magazines have been replaced with iPads and computer screens. Not that there is anything wrong with that. After all Rennlist is the premier internet-based Porsche website with a staff of terrific writers. But enough self-congratulating. Sometimes you just want that tactile feel of reading an actual paper-based product. That experience and look and feel and smell can’t be replicated in a digital format. Sure, a smart watch can tell you the time and much more. But people still love a quality mechanical watch. And a PDK transmission is faster than a manual. But for some only a manual will do. It is for these reasons that 000 Magazine exists.

000 Magazine was founded by Pete Stout and Alex Palevsky. Stout you may remember as the former Editor-in-Chief of Excellence magazine. He then led the rebirth of the Porsche Club of America’s Porsche Panorama magazine. And as lovely as those magazines are, 000 Magazine is another experience all together. First of all, the actual construction of the magazine is such high quality that referring to it as a magazine almost seems like an insult.

It is better than that. It is printed on 9×12 premium 100-lb paper, and each issue weighs three pounds! The 260 pages cover all things Porsche and are not overrun with endless advertisements. In fact, no more than 18 pages per issue are dedicated to ads. That is far less than the industry average for a magazine this size. The magazine is just a gorgeous thing to behold. But it is not style without substance.

A magazine can look pretty all day long but to truly be first-rate, it needs to also deliver solid content. 000 Magazine has Stout and Palevsky, as well as others including Randy Leffingwell, Jörg Bergmeister, Jay Lamm and many others.

In a regular monthly car magazine, a feature article might be five or six pages or may run more than 40. And there is a level of depth in the stories that is simply not there with most other publications. You are immersed in the topic, not just given the 0-to-60 time and cost of options.

Table of Contents

000 Magazine is published four times a year and each one is a keepsake. Every magazine is shrink-wrapped and delivered in a custom, oversized box to protect it. A standard subscription will cost you $250 per year. A little over $60 per issue might sound like a lot for a magazine, but this just can’t be compared to standard magazines. This is like having a fine book delivered to your door every three months.

For the truly discerning enthusiast there is the hard bound Subscription S option. Like any Porsche the S denotes something special. For $999 a year you get a hard bound magazine with an individually numbered alloy VIN plate. You also get a handmade annual aluminum slipcase and a numbered gift. This option is limited to only 999 subscriptions worldwide.

S Subscription

We, of course, want you to continue to enjoy Rennlist and everything we have to offer. But for those times when you just want to curl up with a good book 000 Magazine is tough to beat. The holiday season is here so treat a loved one or yourself to a special gift this year. Re-discover what joys of reading used to be all about.

Joe has been obsessed with cars since he got his very first Matchbox toy in the ‘70s. In 2003, he found a new obsession in track days that led to obtaining his SCCA competition license in 2015. In 2019, he became a certified driving instructor for the National Auto Sport Association. His love for all things four wheels has never wavered, whether it's driving some of the best cars in the world on the racetrack, tackling 2,000-mile road trips in 2-seat sports cars or being winched off the side of a mountaintop in a Jeep. Writing for the suite of Internet Brands Auto Communities sites, including Rennlist.com, Ford Truck Enthusiasts, 6 Speed and more allows him to share that knowledge and passion with others.
