Instant Collectible
Back in 2019, Porsche decided to do something extra special to pay homage to the 935 racer as part of its 70th anniversary celebration. It accomplished that with the ultra-limited 935 redo, of which just 77 examples were produced in total, making it a sure-fire instant collectible. This particular 2019 Porsche 935 proved that point recently after it went up for grabs at Bring a Trailer, and with several days left to go in the auction, it has already far exceeded the million-dollar mark.

Driven Sparingly
This 935 is number 49 of the 77 examples built, and it remained in the possession of the original owner until 2022, when it was acquired by the selling dealer. As one might imagine, the car has been driven very sparingly, and currently has just 90 miles showing on the clock - 73 of which were added by the dealer.

Special Touches
While we're more about driving cars than letting them collect dust, we certainly can't blame the owner for keeping this special machine stashed, given how incredibly valuable it is. Heck, this one even came with the optional factory spare parts package, which cost a whopping $44k when new. It's also rather special thanks to its black, red, orange, and pink livery, a recreation of the look present on a 935 owned by Interscope Racing that took home a win at the 1979 24 Hours of Daytona.

Race Car Stuff
If it wasn't abundantly clear this is no ordinary 911 by now, one can simply peek inside and figure that out. There, the 935 comes with just one Recaro racing seat, a Schroth six-point harness, a roll cage, red door pulls, a side net with push-button release, a fire-suppression system, a digital Cosworth ICD dash, and quick-release carbon-fiber-composite steering wheel - pure race car stuff here, for certain.

Aero Tricks
If all of that isn't enough, the 935 came with an escape hatch in the carbon-fiber-composite roof in the event that things go south on the track, along with aero bits such as a front splitter and rear diffuser, an adjustable exposed carbon-fiber rear wing, 911 RSR side mirrors, and exposed carbon-fiber front fender louvers.

Plenty of Power
Power for the 2019 935 comes from the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter Type MA173 flat-six, which sends a substantial 700 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque to the wheels via a lightning quick-shifting seven-speed PDK gearbox and an electronically adjustable racing-optimized limited-slip differential.

Seven Figures
While the fact that this 2019 Porsche 935 has already been bid up over the million-dollar mark seems a bit shocking, in reality, this was a seven-figure build from the factory, with an original sticker price of $1,048,080 thanks to the aforementioned spare parts kit, plus the wrap job, which added $27,500 to the tally. While intended for track use only, this is undoubtedly a special machine - one that doesn't come up for sale very often - and as such, it'll be interesting to see what it ultimately hammers for.
