Refreshing Take

Porsche Approved - the automaker's certified pre-owned vehicle service - launched in India roughly one month ago, though this program has been in place worldwide for a bit longer than that. Regardless, unlike most certified pre-owned vehicle services, Porsche Approved isn't necessarily centered around selling as many cars as possible, but rather, creating a positive experience for buyers, which is a unique and refreshing take.

Different Priorities

"We want to give the customers a unique experience through the used Porsche cars under the Porsche Approved program," Porsche India brand director Manolith Vujicic told HC Auto. It's somewhat unusual for a company of Porsche's size to prioritize customer experience over sheer sales volume, but this is obviously good news for consumers.

Competitive Market

With the massive Indian automotive market representing a tremendous opportunity, we certainly understand why Porsche would place such a large emphasis on customer experience. A number of automakers have tried and failed to establish themselves in India, a notoriously competitive market.

Alternative Buy

In today's world, where the chip shortage and other supply chain constraints have made it extremely difficult to build or buy new vehicles, Porsche Approved is also a nice shortcut for customers who want to get behind the wheel of one of the automaker's sports cars, but doesn't want to wait for a new one to be built.

Convenient Options

The Porsche Approved service is now available at all Indian Porsche dealerships, with the first deliveries already taking place back in June. Customers can shop either online or in-person for their next used Porsche, making that process a bit easier for everyone.

Online Presence

In fact, Porsche Approved's online presence is quite important to the automaker as it aims to expand consumer awareness around its pre-owned service as more and more people shun physical dealerships for online research and purchases. Regardless, those that prefer that sort of traditional interaction can still get it.
