On the heels of the 991.2 GTS variants being unveiled just recently, Porsche has gone ahead and taken their next gen 911 out for a spin in the snow.

2. Ample dimensions

If this chassis is what we can expect in showrooms then there the chunkier wider body will make for a more intimidating stance for those who look into their rearview mirror and spot the Carrera approaching.

3. Exterior changes

The new iteration of the legendary 911 flaunts brand new headlights and taillights along with a new wide spoiler that reaches across the wider imposing rump of the car.

4. Engines

The definitive German sports car will reportedly have the engine placed an inch or so in the chassis to keep the pendulum-like swing that plagued Carrera's in yesteryears firmly in check. A complete move to the mid-engine platform was considered for this model, but it would result in losing the GT-like rear seats.

5. Creature comforts

As as far the electronics and systems that the 992 will have, sources say to look to the newest Panamera and the upcoming Cayenne for clues on the infotainment system and telematics.

6. Power

Keeping with the way things are in the house of the headlong horse, expect nearly all of the variants to have a range of boosted flat-six engines with a complimentary rear or all-wheel drive layouts.

7. Transmissions

With the success that the 911 R enjoyed, Porsche may look to bring back the manual transmission for the vocal owners who enjoy actually rowing through gears to squeeze any bit of performance out of their cars. As for the PDK models, they could very well see an 8-speed make its way to the car. We speculate that the car could be unveiled officially in fall of 2019 with a price somewhere a bit north of the current level of $90,000.
