Wheel/Tire Fitment Confirmation
Hey guys/gals, I'm considering purchasing aftermarket wheels/tires for my 2001 996TT.
From the preliminary research I've done on the forum thus far, I know that the OEM sizes are as follows:
Fronts: 18x8 +50 with 225/40/18 tires
Rears: 18x11 +45 with 295/35/18 tires
I'm in need of assistance in confirming whether or not the following aftermarket set will fit:
Aftermarket specs currently being considered:
Fronts: 19x8.5 +50 with 235/35/19 tires
Rears: 19x11.5 +60 with 305/30/19 tires

The new proposed fronts:
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 6.3mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 6.3mm more than before.
The new proposed rears:
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 21.4mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 8.7mm less than before.
Looks like the fronts will fit just fine, but the rears will need spacers in order to clear the inside wheel well and/or the suspension? Would a 10mm spacer in the rear be enough?

the aftermarket specs for the rear wheels are for narrow body fitment.
IMO, you're better off looking for a rear offset a lot closer to stock, aka, a widebody fitment.
19 X11 et +40, 19X11.5 et +45, 19X12 et +50 .
Spacers will make it work, but I'm not a big fan of using them to make a NB wheel fit a WB car.
