long-story short, I purchased a new set of OZ Racing Alleggrita wheels, clearly one was defective from new/production as after a very easy 4000km it is extremely out of round, twisted etc without cause....OZ denied warranty.
Just received email this morning from OZ comm. dept. that they are going to review the situation again with Tirerack, will see if they do the right thing....
Cheers,
Rob

Well it's confirmed guys, Warranty has been denied again.
I will never buy another OZ Racing wheel, or likely any wheel from Tirerack.
Clearly I can't stand to trust the quality of OZ or their warranty, so I'll stick to wheels I feel safe with; I feel Tirerack should've helped me along here as well, I buy a decent amount of tires/wheels/suspension/brakes from them, they are normally very good to me but I feel burned this round...OZ is supposed to be one of their best wheel brands, what's the rest like..

I have just gotten off the phone with my Tirerack representative and we have reached a resolution I think both of us are happy enough with.
A few points we talked about and I would like to clarify if not already widely understood:
1) Tirerack has always been very prompt and courteous with their customer service, this has never been an issue to this day. Despite our dispute over this OZ wheel, they are still a great company to deal and I have no hesitation continuing to purchase from them.
2) The issue was strongly related to me having a wholesale account, vs a standard retail account; there is some greater leniency for retail customers.
3) Due to the volume of sales, Tirerack has set protocols for dealing with each individual product/company instead of sending the product to manufacturer; warranty validation is done on-site using these manufacturer protocols.
4) Tirerack still maintains I am at fault, I still maintain my position it was a faulty wheel. We are leaving it at that.
5) I will be keeping a close eye on the new and remaining OZ wheels which now reside on my dad’s 6TT.
Thank-you all for your support, inquiries, and continued interest.
Best Regards,
Rob

I currently have a similar issue with these wheels which were ordered through TireRack. I currently do not have any problems with TireRack or TireRack's customer service at this point.
I purchased a set of Alleggerita's in March 2015, finally received them June 2015. It has been 526 days (1.44 years) since I received the wheels, and on Sunday I noticed the finish has started to come off one of the wheels. There is no damage to indicate "curbing" or anything of that nature, and besides, I know I havent hit anything. I wasnt worried; the wheels have a 2 year finish warranty (as still currently advertised).
Contact TireRack, am told the wheels only have a 1 year warranty, and was provided a "Warranty Certificate" from O.Z. The so called "Warranty Certificate" which "proves" the wheels only have a 1-year warranty, at the very top with asterisk and capitalized is * DRAFT * and has the strange numbering of 00000001.
Ive requested an explanation for the discrepancy and the unofficial "warranty certificate." I do not have a wholesale account, so we shall see what happens.

So let me get this straight, the wheel was ok when installed initially and you drove on it for 4,000 "easy" km (like the picture on the track). And them magically it went bad. Not just in one plane ( out of round) but two, twisted too. Which wheel? Front or rear?
Hmmmm I'm thinking Sasquatch probably tried to pick your car up by the wheel. Because wheels are either imperfect when they come out of the box or OK. Only an outside influence would make it go bad. I'm sure you are the only one that drives the car.
Any chance these are track wheels that you take on and off repeatedly?

^I have accurately discussed the facts in the other more active threads, the wheel was junk/flawed and Tirerack took care of me. You can choose to believe the facts or not, the situation has been concluded and I have nothing to hide. The 'warranty' issue was a matter of principle and not a monetary drive...
The replacement wheel and 3 originals are still in use on my dad's 6TT without any known (to me) issue at this point. OZ makes good wheels, but had a flawed product in this case...I'm not the only one.
