Default Tire Question For The Experts

I have a 2009 C2S and current run Michelin PSS on all four tires. The front tires are much newer than the rear and I will be ready for a new set of rear tires soon. Based upon availability, and cost for the Michelin's, is it acceptable/safe to replace the rear set with a brand other than Michelin assuming it is a Continental or some other high rated, high performance tire?

Thank you in advance for your response.

I would not do it. I have case after case of people that have though it would be OK, only to find out that it upsets the way the car handles to do so. Porsches are built with tires in mind, and it does affect the car to mix the tires. Steering will feel unsteady and vague.

Stay with 4 of the same tire.
