Hi, can a forged wheel that has a crack at the back edge of the rim (leaking air) be fixed?

Almost any wheel can be repaired. However, in most cases, it wont be as strong as the original in the repaired portion.

Is it a 3-piece or forged monoblock? How much is a replacement wheel or lip (if 3-piece)?

You should post some pics for a better assessment

Yes, it can be repaired. But

Personally I wouldn't drive on a cracked wheel.

As noted, it's integrity is now compromised.

If it's multipiece you might be able to source a new barrel. If one piece, I'd go for a replacement. IMO.

Its a 3-piece wheel. It has a hair line crack witch is leaking air. The company who made the wheels is IForged. Can not get in touch with them. Tried for two weeks no one picks up the phone. Also sent e-mail no answer. This has got to be the worst company ever.

Anyway, if it is a hairline crack on the inner barrel, just find a shop to weld it up. I could recommend a few places in Toronto, but I dont know anyone in NJ.

Some manufactures share the same bolt pattern for barrels. So, you might be able to source a compatible barrel on eBay or from a company like Rotiform (IIRC they supply barrels). The tricky part is going to be figuring out if they are compatible.

Anyway, my advice is try the weld first. You'll likely be fine. Just get a proper wheel place to do it.
