Default Gundo Mod in San Jose

Hello folks,
I am interested in doing the Gundo hack/mod on my 996.

So far I've called and taken my car to three separate shops and it is as if I am speaking a foreign language.

I have a spare set of mufflers and pictures to show them, however, each shop has declined for one reason or another.

I know there is one in Brentwood that does the Fister mod, if I cannot get someone to do a Gundo mod

My question is; is there a shop in the San Jose that can complete the job?

Gundo Mod below (aka PSE hack)

There are several places to do it, Babe's Muffler shop, Rennwerks and a few others.

I can't speak for the quality of the jobs performed, but from my experience dealing with Rennwerks over phone call + email hasn't been great. I found them slightly rude dealing with customers. This is my opinion only tho and my only be related to my case.

Any updates on shops? Preferable near the East Bay.

I had this done on my 997.2 a few years back. Minute Muffler in Dublin can handle the job, make sure you bring photos of what you want done.

Appreciate the recommendation, that's not too far from me.

There's a shop in Walnut Creek that does a lot of custom work, and the owner is a "car guy".
Broadway Muffler Service, (925) 933-4373.
Almost across the street from the Porsche dealer.

Getting the "Fister" mod done at Minute Muffler today. Settled on 1.5" bypass pipe, which Scott says he says is typical for his customer cars. Looking forward to the drive back.

Go with Darrin at FD Motorsports in Brentwood you will not regret it, great work, he does it right, and a great guy as well worth the drive, especially on the way back !

It makes no sense to go anywhere else IMO.
