Default Looking for reputable PPI location in SF

I am currently interested in buying a 89 Turbo Factory M505. I am looking for a place where I can get a more thorough PPI. I spoke to Livermore Porsche but they do the regular checklist items ie. tires, brakes, etc.

I more concern with compression test, damage to car, bondo. paint, condition, etc.

Since I am here, might as well see if anyone knows about the car.
VIN # WP0JB0932KS050448

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Where in the Bay Area is the vehicle?

There are a number of shops in the North Bay that can do a good job on that vintage, including Peter Wolf, Hi-Tec & S-Car-Go...

David, do you know that they do PPIs? Last I heard, most difficult to find a place due to CA liability laws.

The only one that I'm almost sure will do a PPI is Peter, however perhaps the liability laws have also dissuaded him...

Master Automotive in Santa Clara does PPI and is good. Check out their Yelp reviews.

Thanks for all the info... I went with S car go which was 45 mins away and the owner of the car didn't mind.

Seems like they did a pretty thorough PPI for me. Leak down test. compression test, went through the car to spot oil leaks, checked for all functioning equipment, checked the paint work......

All seems normal for usually wear and tear and usual oil leaks.... but both fenders and rear quarter was painted with some blending on the door.

Now the decision to purchase this car or not.

You need to understand why the panels were re-painted. It may have been a good idea to take it to Whitman's (around the corner from SCarGo) and see if Patrick or Craig could've assisted...

If you want to PM more details, I can give you y two cents...

S car go had someone from down the block come access the paint.... I wonder if they had the guys from Whitman's come down....
Whatever the reason to paint those fenders were.... I was told that it doesn't look like it was from a major accident

Cool...it sounds like you've removed the emotion from the exercise so I'm sure that you'll make the correct decision!
