I wondered what "make it personal" meant! I'll check it out, and try to fix it

I too love the drive down to Muir Beach and along the coast to Stinson but it was so damn foggy and I wanted to see if we could get above the clouds.

I'd also love to do this more frequently.

I ended up taking Joris down with me to Terra Linda and then pointing him to the SR > Richmond Bridge and 580. He should be well into Yosemite although I have't received any text from him.

I hope that he made it through the Maze and I expect that he is focused on Yosemite; hopefully he will raise his hand when he lands in Mammoth.

I don't know about you guys but the C4S got super dirty this AM...must have been a combination of the fog, road goo from the recent rain and that rodent that I squished.

Thanks again...it was fun and I'm looking forward to the next time!

P.S. I only have low-res iPhone pics so I won't bother posting them because they are super grainy. I had an issue with my DSLR which was easily fixed by a battery pull...although I didn't think of that until I got home...ugh...

Glad that you landed in the Eastern Sierra!

Aren't you gonna mention that you enjoyed Old Priest Grade so much that you went down New Priest Grade so you can go up Old Priest Grade a second time?!

Be sure to post some video when you get the time...safe travels...

sorry, but I just saw this thread. I hope it is not too late. If you are staying in Santa Monica, yes, definitely go all the way on PCH North to Latigo Canyon and head uphill. On the way back down, you can turn right and continue North to Neptune Seafood, at 42505 Pacific Coast Highway (more of a motorcycle hangout, but a nice drive nonetheless). If you are by yourself, you can try to have a great dinner at the bar on Tar & Roses on Santa Monica Blvd. and 7th st., most likely walking distance from where you will stay. Some good breakfast at Kreation cafe on Montana Ave. in Santa Monica (all locals), and just 1 block down, if you like coffee, try Luxxe Cafe. I am in Santa Monica, but will not be available on the dates you are here. Good luck and let me know if there is anything you might need. Oh, and there is nothing to see imo between Vegas and LA - get a good audio book.

I will try and get some new pix up a little later. This is just the teaser..

Thanks Dan for the awesome YouTube video, I hope this will convince my grandkids that grandpa really drives this fast. It was a great drive and thanks to all for letting the Vette hangout with you guys. I tried to attach a picture to this, it says that it was uploaded, I don't see it. I will need to figure this one out.

HWY 2 was a pretty epic drive too I must say. 65 miles of fun and no traffic.
