A car that doesn't need much of an introduction. Platinum Motorcars Detroit is proud to offer a beautiful low mileage 1985 Porsche RUF 911 Turbo.

A great example of a 930 generation 911 Turbo. While newer cars maybe faster, the classic 911's provide a driving experience that connect you to the car.

Offered in a 5 speed manual it doesn't get much better than this.

Please contact me with any questions you may have.

At a glance, it looks somewhat cleaner then the 81 RUF wannabe non-factory slant rusted floor pan hack job I looked at last year in southern California. It's really hard to find a good car these days.

Can you share pics of the front trunk under the carpet as well as the floor pan in the car under the carpet? Those areas are very telling of the life these cars have led.

GLWS.

If it's a real ruf, the 5 speed s a tough Ruf unit, easily identifiable. If not, it's a modified 915 unit, weak. Huuuuge difference, need the Ruf paperwork, Ruf can verify the vin if it's a true conversion, well worth the ask. Glws

Just like vintage AMG modified cars from the 80's (before AMG was acquired by Mercedes in the 90's) - original paperwork and documentation is paramount provenance. Many Ruf and AMG cars are clones with legit bits added to a car by someone other than Ruf/AMG. No docs or proof and the value takes a significant hit. Fortunately for Ruf cars - they can/will authenticate if it was done by them back in the day. If a vintage AMG car doesn't have its original (or photocopies) docs, you are SOL trying to prove a car is legit.

Pretty 930 in any event.

I would personally advocate to verify the condition of the chassis and powertrain first and foremost, and then worry about the RUF paperwork verification. Regardless of paperwork, they are 30 year old plus cars and condition has nothing to do with what the odometer says.

Agree, odometer ESP useless on a euro grey mkt car.
