I watched the live-stream of the auction. The lot just prior to the E-Type was a 2003 Ferrari Enzo that hammered at $2.45 million. Then the E-Type opened to a cold room with only modest bidding - obviously the wrong people were in the room. I was shocked when the bidding stalled at $125,000. For what was arguably one of the nicest S1 4.2 OTS in the country, painstakingly restored to as new, this was a tragic outcome.

Why didn't the seller have a reserve, or a better reserve price?
