Market is flooded at the moment. There are roughly 10 RS's listed for sale right now anywhere from $60-150k+. These cars simply just aren't selling for six figures, and that goes for any 964 not just the RS, unless of course you're talking about some PTS sub-20k mile example. This is by far the nicest RS I've seen with active bidding in the last six months on ebay and look where it ended up? 42.5k off of the dealer's buy it now price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1993-Porsche...p2047675.l2557 Does that not show just how large of a discrepancy there is right now in the market between what a dealer thinks the car is worth as opposed to what an actual buyer is currently willing to pay for it? I hear/read about these "behind the scenes" sales all the time where the really good cars are "supposedly" changing hands for top money yet we never see a history of the actual sale let alone a final price. Hell in most cases we don't even see the car in question just a rumor that the sale has occurred. I don't doubt sales like this are taking place but it's hard to just take people's word for it. What you can see however are asking prices and actual no reserve final selling prices on ebay which clearly show the market trending downwards. So many cars currently listed have been for sale for months now. Dealers are sitting on inventory that they bought up a year ago when the bubble was at its highest. Now they're trying to offload it at a price that made sense 12 months ago but simply doesn't float in the current market. I'm shopping at the moment for a solid 84-98 driver and I see no reason to not hold off for another few months with the way the market is trending.
930 same thing.
Unlike the 997 gt market where something trades every week it seems.
Volume speaks to healthy market.
Now a real deal 964 rs on the other hand...
