Has anyone ever sipped an enclosed trailer? Any recommendations for economical and reliable service?

I bought a trailer sight unseen from a fellow racer and used uship to have it towed halfway across the country. There's a guy there that hauls mostly boats on trailers for people, had tons of positive reviews, and he said he would do it. Have updates along the way, pickup, stopped for the night, there in 2 hours, etc. and took lots of before and after pics. Reasonable price, and i was very happy.

I've used uship.com two times now for moving trailers around. No issues, and lowest price I think you'll find unless you get a favor from someone. A bit of negotiation to get a good price through their bidding process. PM me if you go that route.

Shipped a Trailex from TX to OH using www.uship.com.

Reverse eBay bid model, create an account, you post the "shipping job" and various haulers bid on the job.

Thanks all. It seems the going rate is around $1/mile for a full size enclosed trailer. That sound about right?

This seems a bit on the high side. Can some of the uship veterans confirm or give some input? Also, I've heard that the price can be lowered if you allow the shipper to put a car or other cargo in your trailer and split the cost between the two customers.

Not really when you consider where they have to go, what fees they have to pay, if the have a load back, etc.

I'm been talking to Marc offline, but I'll post my observations here as it might help someone else.

I've seen 0.8-0.95/mile including the uship fees for pulling a trailer. On the last trip I was given a $300 kick-back for the shipper having found a job to move a car to houston in my trailer.
