Default Electrical component ID help needed
What is the silver part called. I note the right hand side is hot and the black wire is a good ground. I am getting sporadic power off the left side which feeds a fuse strip under the dash. Thanks. I have no idea what to call it to order or shop for the component.
picture turned sideways. Top in pic is hot, bottom is sporadically. Not good when feeding brake controller lol

Nevermind. The guy at Autozone knew exactly what it was. I guess I should have had more confidence.

It looks like a starter solenoid, the only reason I know I'm replacing my on my 1965 pickup.
