Anyone using a diesel fuel additive?
My '04 duramax died on me due to algae in the fuel tank (she's back up and running).
Anyone using an additive to help with this issue? If so what?
This is a common problem with diesels.

Never needed it for algae. I guess I go thru too much of it for it to get funky.
Now, I do use this in every tank during the winter season here in Michigan. My truck seems to start a little easier and I don't have to worry about gelling of the fuel.

best additive in the ford community
-i use it every fill up. am going to try the stabil for one and see if i get the same results.
If i don't use the additive my gas gauge doesn't read so I at least know its cleaning the debris off the sender.

Any good product like stantadyne which is found at any truck stop will work. With your year truck you should be using an additive every tank, I put Injectors in my LB7 Duramax and why they fail is due to the lack of sulfur in the fuel, They need a lubricant, I did the work myself and the injectors were 2k just for the eight..
