To be more clear:
I believe I am covered on the road with my tow vehicles insurance.
My race car is covered Paddock, Storage and Tow with Hagerty.
What kind of insurance would cover my trailer for Storage?

Trailer just added to my auto policy. STP for the race car from Hagerty. Hagerty could have covered the trailer as well, but was more expensive and required that it be kept in a locked garage. Auto policy is fine with it being in the storage lot. All of this insurance was inexpensive.

Just looked into this in June. Best coverage at reasonable cost was too insure the trailer as an additional line item on my tow vehicle policy (about $100/year). Then race car through lockton or similar paddock/pit/tow policy.
That gave me best overall coverage for trailer for both when it was hooked up to tow vehicle and when it was not. One concern I had was if I used a company like lockton for trailer, what would happen if there was a claim that resulted when trailer was not connected to tow vehicle (trailer in storage, unhooked, and subsequently rolls down hill into something). With trailer listed on tow vehilce policy, this stuff is covered. Was not sure it was if I specifically did not have trailer on tow vehicle policy.

Question: Hagerty "Motorsports" insurance covers the car "In the trailer, in the paddock, in storage, even for a parade lap or two — just not when it’s racing on the track."
I assume this is coverage against damage incurred. What about theft? Anyone have expecience with this?

I just got off the phone with Hagerty Insurance, finalizing my transport and paddock insurance.
I was put on hold for a few minutes while the sales person spoke with the underwriter. Hagerty, like all businesses, plays over-modulated music to (a) irritate (b) sooth (c) amuse its customers.
Guess what was playing on the Hagerty Insurance line?

You just can't make this **** up.

Badly dinged my Trailex last fall. Hagertys guys really came through. Best 300 buckaroos ever spend even w a 100 clam ded . Suggest any claims try to talk w Savannah S., she's very responsive. At Trailex in canton OH, the man is Ken Montgomery.
