Daytona
Yes boys,
That re-classed car GT5 was me !!! Scruts measured my stroke not at 72 and not at 78 but at a wacky 75.5 !
Guess I'll have to measure the stroke before I buy another used engine :-0.
Hope to see everyone at Sebring in February. I'll be back in SBP

Here's my short recap of Daytona:
I heard over the years from SPB racers that "Daytona would be boring, etc" and all I can say to them is that it's obvious they've never driven the track. It's an incredible race track and the banking has a lot of strategy and the leading corners to them are incredibly important. There should be NO reason this track doesn't have over 20 SPBs racing next year. Let's make it happen!
The event was well-run and there were loads of volunteers on grid to ensure things stayed smooth. Thank you volunteers. We were put in a mixed class but the racing was very clean and everyone respected each other and the extreme risk the track offers.
Sprint 2 point race start where I lost 1st place and had to retake -> https://vimeo.com/188934075
Enduro start with move on outside -> https://vimeo.com/188934441
Enduro end with great battle with Mike - he flipped a switch and drove like a mad man! ->

Track record (2:10.3) with the help of an SP3 -> https://vimeo.com/188933077
Enjoy!

Awesome videos Chris! Great job, I am jealous. Pushing 150mph in a Spb! Wow
I definitely want to get down there for next years club race. Although I'll be in a spc.

That's exactly what I thought before I drove Daytona. "This is going to be boring". Hello...What a great track and what a great time I had. Far from boring. There also something to be said for just being at Daytona.
Chris, you drive the wheels off that SPB. I'll have a lot of fun in 2017 trying to catch you (as well as Muller, McLean and Gibbons). SPB class is the most fun I've had in all of my PCA club racing career.
Looking very forward to 2017.
