My first Porsche
Hi everyone. I'm a long time Porsche fan and I'm finally a Porsche owner. I want to thank you all as this forum has been a big part of my research in the many months of reading and watching videos to find what 911 I knew was right for me. After I decided it was going to be a 991.1 Carrera S black coupe with PDK, Sports Chrono and Sports Exhaust it took a little more than 6 months to find my car. It's a '14 that had a tad over 16k on the odometer and was in outstanding condition. I traded my '13 Boss 302 that I purchased new and as good a car as it was I have not regretted trading it at all. Thanks again to everyone and I'm happy to be part of this community to continue to learn.

Please recognize you are a lifetime addict. I bought my first Porsche in 1974 as a 2l 914. I was 40 years old. I bought my first 911 in 1987 and another in 1989, a Targa. I have owned six. Though I owned a few for many years I only parted company from each because I wanted a newer Porsche on each occasion. Consequently, I have never ridded myself of a Porsche due to defects; only because I lusted for another. I now have a 2015 Porsche 991.1 GTS that I tell my wife is my last. I cannot keep multiple Porsches. It is impractical! My wife believes I will get another despite the fact I am 73 yoa.
Please instruct your wife or significant other that you are hooked. My wife only approves of my being hooked. She is a keeper! I love her for indulging my irrational eccentricity among other things. She gets compensated likewise. To my knowledge, she has no complaints.
Best of luck with your gorgeous 991.

Nah. You've got 2 more left in you. My dad is 83 and still drives a manual. 992 looks pretty sweet!

Thanks. I wasn't crazy about the wheels and figured they would be one thing I'd change but then I seen them in person for the first time and I knew they weren't going anywhere. I love 'em!
