Default Anyone have 20" BBS CH-R wheels?

I wanted an extra set of wheels to take to the track and ordered a set of these from Tire Rack.

Damon wasn't sure if these would fit PCCBs so he had the CAD guys check everything. Seems that it should be fine with the possible exception of a brake duct but that would not have anything to do with whether I have ceramics or not.

However I am a bit concerned about the disclaimer about the front fitment being aggressive and possible fender modification being needed.

I have an aggressive street/track alignment with about -2.5 degrees of camber up front.

The 49 mm of offset up front means that the tire will be pushed outward by half an inch. I'm thinking that it might rub against the lip of the fender under compression.

Is anyone else running this wheel in 20" already?

Some people have reported rubbing on track with an ET50, different manufacturer, wheel and similar front alignment.

ExMB -- I did some additional searching and found myBailey07's comments about light rubbing possible at high compression tracks. Thank you.

I'll do some basic test fitting tomorrow and if they look ok then I'll test them for a few laps at VIR on Thursday. They're an extra set so if they rub, I'll just take them off.

Please post pictures of the CH-R once they're mounted. I didn't even realize they had a 20" option available.

So, unfortunately the 20" CH-R's have zero clearance with the PCCB calipers. Also, this offset plus the 1/2" wider wheel will likely result in rubbing under compression. I don't think these will even fit non-PCCB cars because of this. If they had kept the stock wheel width, I don't think it would have been an issue.

Bummer as I love the BBS look.

The pictures of the calipers actually make it look like there's more clearance than there is. I slid a folded 8.5x11 sheet of paper in and it stuck.

Sorry for the bad pictures. Lighting is not the best in my garage.

Trying 20" OZ Leggera wheels next.

WOW, sorry to see that. I'm actually surprised that those BBS don't fit considering BBS's close working relationship with Porsche.

Edit
Checked application guide on BBS site and they are not listed as fitment. Surprised that tirerack thought otherwise.

Yeah me too. $192.80 wasted in R/T shipping cost.

Just order a front and rear for the OZs. If they don't fit, at least I'm only out half the shipping.

CH-R weight like an anchor, the OZ fit no issue and are much lighter.

mrd_spy -- do you have 20" OZs with PCCBs? I've seen several GT4s with the OZ Leggera and Ultraleggera wheels, but all of those have had regular brakes.

Thanks.

What's the tire width with the OZ set-up? I probably don't want to run more narrow than stock for the track.?.?

Not sure if you want to spend the $$$ and if these even fit the PCCBs but the BBS FI-R is outstanding.
