When I was searching for a used 991, I found that 8% - 10% showed up in the search for manuals. Additionally, of the listings that I pulled up, there was always a handful that were actually PDK's.
I would imagine the .2 only search would be close to these numbers.
To verify, go to cars.com or autotrader, search for 2017 911's and note the number, then filter manuals and compare.

In my searches for a manual I also found very few in metro areas where there's lots of traffic. In the SF Bay Area, dealers never order them for inventory, just custom orders for customers. More manuals show up in the Midwest and the south.

Makes sense. I would have considered a MT if I did not live in San Francisco, even though its older and slower technology in a 991. Instead I bought the 991, then an 88 G50 Carrera purely for weekend hooligan driving in the twisties in "full analog mode".

Dealers in the the DC area - where traffic is a daily disaster- have manual 991.2 Carrera and S models in their showrooms. Lots to choose from at Rockville, Silver Spring, Tysons, Arlington.

yep, a bunch of stop and go traffic on a regular basis would surely fix my need for a manual. Thank goodness I am in a manageable traffic area. Plus, being retired I can choose the times I do venture into high traffic areas. I will stay off of I95 (especially the northern corridor) any chance I get even if it takes more time.

In Southern Florida area... not many are dealer spec'd with the M7 unless it's a customer sold order. They are scarce indeed depending on the region/market area. So definitely 10% or less is good educated estimate. And as stated, even if you filter through the search engines for manual 991.2's and then after you start viewing each in detail... you'll end up discovering a bunch were actually PDK equipped.
As for pre-owned models, here's one I filtered thru cars dot com (coupes):

You can simply go to the Porsche USA website, chose to look at pre-owned vehicles, and filter for all 991's vs those with manual transmissions. Accounting for editions that don't have MT available (Targa, Turbo, GT3), there is a 15% take rate on MT's.

In any case the numbers are still small... from MY2012 thru MY2017, there are 84 pre-owned manual 991.1 and 991.2 combined for sale as of this post.
The 2016-2017 are illustrated below... some are obviously missing from cars dot com's listings.

I think the question is kind of answered. Say even 25% were MT, 75% were not. The GT3 crowd shows a lot of interest in the .2 with MT so ultimate reality will be interesting. Even if they were 50%, 50% were PDK which seems to be the track choice. No more over revs.
