Default Hot cars and Sad garages

Hi,

Few have asked many have not dared lead the way so here we have it.

This is a thread for the average Porsche owner who is not **** retentive about his/her garage space but keeps a nice clean Porsche in it!

The snobs with the "Taj Mahal" garages need not post other than to make fun of us plebeians. You'll receive as much as you give!

For those who wish to participate, the rules are simple and you need to provide the following:
1. Year/Model of your Porsche.
2. Why do you keep a filthy space?
3. Photograph and discuss the main areas of your garage and why it's so damn messy?
4. Do you have plans to improve or add to the disaster and why?

I'll have the dubious honor of going first:

1. Year/Model of your Porsche.
2015 Carrera GTS

2. Why you keep a filthy space?
In a nutshell, I just don't give a damn about the lousy 1-car garage that we have in this house. I'm happy that Rumble Bee has a room to sleep in and that's good enough for me.

3. Photograph and discuss the main areas of your garage and why it's so damn messy?

Pic1 - Getting you warmed up to the landscape and the obvious junk.
Pic2 - Why a fridge? While this is a common fixture, apparently ours is full of beer and a lump of cheese, this one being Cabot extra sharp cheddar, President's choice. Highly recommend! Oh yeah, we have "spill over" food from the main fridge in the kitchen twice a year, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Pic3 - "The Stand!" I've occupied the bottom 2 shelves with cleaning supplies and in the middle of a hotly contested battle with the boss wife, to claim the 3rd shelf!
Pic4 - What do you do with a left-over corner kitchen wall cabinet? You hang the darn thing and fill it with yet more junk such as a pasta machine and glassware.
Pic5 - Hi Rumble! Can't explain the buckets. I can however explain the dirty rubber pads which have been re purposed to serve as wall guards, when exiting the car. That exercise btw, is an art form, which consists of tai chi, kung fu moves and a whole lotta swearin', in the process, since the door opens only partially.
Pic6 - Using the ladder to dry my shammies!
Pic7 - More rubber pads and an extension cord which is used to feed the fridge and will help keep Bee on the trickle charger starting next week.
Pic8 - The Porsche corner and my only saving grace. The filter kits are on the shelf above, that can be seen in Pic5.
Peeled floors abound, again I don't care.

4. Do you have plans to improve or add to the disaster and why?

Neither. We've chosen to live on a single income, the Porsche payment included, and pocket the rest. As a result the mortgage will be over with in 5 years and we may move onto another house, which I hope will have a slightly better 2-bay version, of this hot mess!

Have fun and contribute plenty!

While my garages are bigger and tidier, your fridge is much better stocked, so I think you win.

This thread's gonna get a lot less views than the 'Show Me Your Garage' thread in the 991 GT3 forum...

I love it! You know how to set the priorities. Beer, wine and good times. I keep a couple of my trophies in the garage since I spend so much time there. It's my second home. Lol

Nice space! We have 2 treadmills, which used to be in the garage but had to make room for the GTS, that are in the lower level now...barely used

Another awesome GTS! Our cars are the story in our garages, not the other way around.

Now let's hope others contribute. There have to be some disastrous looking garage spaces out there, don't be shy folks, we understand and salute you!

Plenty of junk in my garage. The wife's is much neater! Mine is full of jacks, tools, parts, fluids, cleaners, and other junk I use when working on the cars. Not sure those designer garages see much work done in them.

My garage is put together like a puzzle because I have 3-4 garages worth of stuff in a two car garage. Very cluttered but not really clutter as all the stuff is used and related to my hobbies of: cars, bicycles, motorcycles, running, and sometimes skateboarding. Bicycle on the ground is my repurposed downhill/commuter bicycle-aka The Beast. Perfect for the urban wars Not very fast but big fun. A fast road motorcycle(for sale) and a fast dirt bike. Various other bicycles and skateboards. Lots of tools and parts to maintain all the stuff.

1. 2011 997.2S
2. It ain't filthy, it's the great outdoors.
3. My garage ain't messy, it just doesn't exist, except in my dreams! Downside of living in a historic district.
4. I have a job. The old biddies on the Preservation Committee are retired. Who you gonna bet on?
