European Delivery 2016: Nogaro Blue Edition!
Having just returned from Europe in the last week, I thought it would be time to share my new car with the folks on Rennlist. On Sept 16th, I finally took delivery of my new Nogaro Blue 991.2 C2S! I had a wonderful time in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and encourage anyone on the fence about European delivery to commit to do so. The factory tour and delivery experience was really amazing, PLUS you can experience the autobahn!

A special thank you to all the folks at (or formerly at) Porsche: Casey Parkin, Melissa Witek, Dan Margrave, and Jamie Dillon.
Audi's Nogaro Blue is one of my favorite colors. I own two Audis in the color and nearly painted my M3 this color. I even managed to convince my father to order his RS6 in the color.
For those of you into the PTS thing, from the day that Porsche received my Nogaro sample, it took 5 months to approve the color. I sent them a sprayout card and the fuel door from my 2002 S4.
Unfortunately, the color is hard to capture in photos, but it is a pearlescent blue with mildly purple glow on overcast days. Assuming you have a reasonably accurate display, the photos from my father's G5X are the most color accurate.
I have LOTS of photos, but mostly.... I thought I would post the ones of the car.
I think this photo is most accurate for color:

I was hesitant to say it in the original post, but I'd also like to give them kudos for painting it the right color. Nothing will ever compare to my experience at BMW where I did not discover their error until the delivery (in Europe)!

Congrats on a beatiful car and a great experience. I was really pleasantly surprised about the 991.2 when I drove it last week. Super fast and very comfortable when you want it to be .

Congrats on the great car and experience. I did my first Euro Delivery in 1983, my most recent in 2001. I'll be picking up a 911 coupe next June. I've got a question about your front license mounting. Was that provided by Porsche or did you bring the mounting device yourself? If so, where did you source it from?

CONGRATULATIONS!! European Delivery is in my blood. There's nothing like driving your own car thru Europe. You picked the right countries and the best time of the year. I see that Porsche changed their system of securing the front plate or you brought the holder with you? if you live in a state that doesn't require a front plate I would leave the Zoll plate on.
Love the color, let's see some landscape pictures!.
