Default Great AMERICAN 964s for sale

Thought it made sense for our American friends to have a dedicated thread.

Here's my thinking, as with the UK version of this thread.

WTB threads, with questions, and posted classifieds pop up very/ too often. It seems it would be valuable to have all of it in one place as a reference for those - looking to buy, sell and watching the market. It would reduced the churn of short lived WTB threads due to their sameness and allow tracking of market values over time. If the UK version has survived with mods being fine with it they should be fine with this one.

As you say, this isn't a non sponsor advertising their cars, but Rennlisters discussing what is already discussed but in one place.

Anyway Gents,
Lets get this thread nicely operational and post up the American classifieds etc.

Cheers,

Funny, I was wondering why there was no thread for the us cars for sale only this morning!

I still get emails on a daily basis for cars for sale in the states.

Good question, Cobalt will hopefully chime in. He seems to know the turbocharged market well - especially 3.6s.

Received an email from Trovit.
About 6 x cars listed, 1 x turbo a 930, the rest 964 cab's. The turbo was an 89 which why it came up.
I did post these previously, on a WTB thread, I'll post them here in future.

I would say it was a slightly better spec.
Just goes to show you how prices have risen over the last 12 months.

I am looking for a 964 c2 coupe only and the prices are a bit crazy if I may say so. If you have a c2 in the states let me know, not particular on color, can be stock or modified as long as it was taken care of and NO RUST.

The black 1990 listed above via eBay, they are looking to get 37k for it, oh and have absolutely zero records for it.

The trend is changing quickly especially for the 3.6's. There have been very few 3.6's sold in the past year. There have been a few >90k mile cars selling in the $90-100k range. Some notable sales were a 38k mile speed yellow over black, one owner sold for $149k. Recently the sister to my cobalt blue with light gray interior 22k miles with considerable modifications to the interior, engine and suspension sold for $169k. The interesting thing about this car is it sold by word of mouth through the forums with almost no advertising. Apparently they were inundated with calls had many other interested parties and sold in less than 24 hours.

The 3.3's are still hit or miss depending on mileage condition and options.
