Like any engine they need to be properly maintained. And keep in mind that a fully rebuilt rotary with all new parts costs around $5k including parts and labor. What do you get for $5k on your Porsche engine rebuild?

Stunning! This is the sort of car that is going to be $50k+ within a few years, especially if Mazda comes out with a RX9 as rumored. Look at prices for the NSX and Supra, the FD RX7 is the next great Japanese collector car.
I have a 1993 Touring in Silverstone over black and absolutely adore it. With 115k I'm still getting it fully sorted but the car is absolutely incredible to drive, and gets more car guy attention than anything else I've owned. It is an incredible amount of car for what is still a reasonable price of entry.
