Since I am an HPDE instructor I built the car for safety, track capability and comfort (in that order). It has full race seats (Recaro), 6 way harnesses, roll bar (bolt in Autopower), fire protection, and battery cutoff. Interior is mostly removed, but still has door panels, power windows, power 968 mirrors, windshield and rear glass wiper, and *working AC and heat*. Motorized headlight pop up is gone (but they are still usable manually), sunroof gone, sound deadening gone, rear interior gone, console gone, etc.
Track upgrades are very extensive. Big black 928 GTS brakes in front, all monoball/solid bushings, full Bilstein Cup shock and spring package with torsion bar delete, 3 way rear sway bar, the Racers Edge spindle and lower control arms that should be done for safety and handling (expensive), 18" Enkei lightweight wheels, precision alignment and ride height for the track, and much more.
I hope I can sell this car through Rennlist to someone who wants to use it for their own track fun - possibly take it to the racing level. It would also be wonderful for someone who wants a rewarding, reasonably fast lapping day or DE car as is. My price is $15,000 or best offer but if I don't get a reasonable offer soon I will put on Ebay.
Please contact me for more pictures and details. The car is currently at a Porsche shop in Lexington, KY and has just been fully track serviced. The mechanic is also available for serious inquiries. Please contact me at gggbell@yahoo.com or 303-249-3383 (text or call). Thank you, Gregg Bell

I've been asked some ?s that remind me I've left some important facts out:
- This car had a clean CarFax when I bought it. The PPI showed no sign of extensive body damage. It has never been hit, or hit anything, since I've owned it. There is a small dent on the hood and I repaired the air dam (too expensive for a new one on a track car). To my knowledge no damage and there is no body rust at all (I've been inside the door panels and fender wells myself).
- All plastic and wear parts in the valvetrain were replaced before putting it on track. The front seals and belts have been fully replaced (belts twice). Front shaft and cam bearings have been replaced.
- Oil pan was pulled an bottom end fully inspected before tracking car. Rod bearings replaced and car has solid 50 psi oil pressure, uses less than 1/2 quart oil per day on track.

I have poured over this car in my mechanic's shop. This seems like a great deal for a dual purpose 968. Very nicely done details that can only be appreciated in person. GLWS!

Thank You!
Thanks for the nice summary of my 968. I love this car - it is so much fun to drive something that is so responsive to inputs (good or bad ) I spent a lot of time breathing what I'm sure were unhealthy fumes removing that sound deadening and Porsche glue in the interior so really appreciate your noticing!!

More and Better Interior Pictures, Air Dam
Here are some more pictures that the shop took for me this AM. I've had several questions on the current interior set up, the air dam repair it had (how it looks), and the engine bay and current belt maintenance. Hope these fill some of the holes I had in my original pictures. Gregg Bell (owner)

Thanks for the questions from dave968M3 and bpu699...
- Yes, I don't have the car here right now but I believe the rear wheel spacers are 20 mm. Maybe 15, but I think 20 mm. They are only used for stabilizing the rear - not needed for wheel and tire clearance. It's fairly common for people to use spacers on 924/944/968s and when I had the full monoball and hard bushing suspension installed, the mechanic recommended them for making the car more planted when off throttle. The combination works great - I can do smooth downshifts and upshifts while pulling almost 1G according Harry's Lap Timer data (not necessarily super accurate) and never feel a twitch.
- I think the offset is just from the picture being taken at an angle. All 4 wheels run around -3 deg negative camber. When toe is set to -.05 deg or so on both sides, it tracks perfectly straight - I prefer a little toe in for the straights. Alignment data shows no offset and the camber plates are more or less the same looking straight at the engine.

Note to all: Was just surprised that a current CarFax report shows a "mileage exceeds mechanical limits" warning. It did not have this warning when I bought it - apparently CarFax has a "5 digit issue" on older cars now. This car has steadily increasing mileage until the day I bought it. The seller signed an true odometer reading and will do the same. Apparently CarFax does not understand that Japanese and German cars have had a 6 digit odometer "forever" as I see this issue has come up on forums. Please do a CarFax if you are a potential buyer. I believe this car has clean title, correct odometer, and no accidents. It is licensed as such in Kentucky and ready for spring fluid flushes and the track, but I can't change CarFax...

Since I have not had an offer on this great lap day, HPDE, almost club race prepped 968 I will have to post it on eBay (still have 3 other cars in my garages!). I will entertain reasonable offers and now have it back from winter servicing. I prefer to sell it to a fellow Porsche and/or track junkie than through eBay so please give it consideration. It's a very solid, reliable car with no accidents, no rust, strong running and well maintained drivetrain, and clear title. We can do video calls, it's street legal and can be driven, etc. just make a fair offer.
