Sweet. I'm in.
This is going to take some mobilization to make a success. I am raising my hand to help promote - this is a really fun technical track and a great facility.
The paddock and facilities are top notch. Really friendly folks running the track too. Pro flaggers. Etc.

I was talking about Calabogie with Ken Wagner at the Christmas dinner. From what I remember of the conversation the last time we did this not enough of us attended (Various theories as to why). I gather we will need to lobby our friends to attend in as big numbers as possible to not have a repeat. I for one am excited to sign up for the October event.

Or we could do a combined RSR/UCR event (we had the same issue a few years ago), but I guess that there is politics at play that makes this 'too' complicated...

I believe UCR members can sign up for RSR events....as can other out of region PCA members

It's just that UCR lost money and RSR lost money, so it seems that we should co-host an event together. I brought it up in the past but was told that it wouldn't fly (informally, mind you).
If this event is a go, I will try my hardest to attend, and hopefully convince my Ontario friends to join in. I have checked and there is no schedule conflict so far.

YES!
I was so bummed out when I heard of the events and Calabogie wasn't on the list.....It is the regions 40th anniversary(maybe 50) and something special should be planned!

Thank you - looking forward to meeting everyone! I should have my car up here in next couple of weeks so will be itching for weather to get here to hit the track.
Separately, does anyone do any events at CTMP?
I dont see anything on clubreg with PCA but would love to drive that track, along with Le Circuit, Lime Rock, and Watkins this summer.

As for Mosport (I can't utter 'Canadian Tire' in the same breath when referring to such a great track!), yeah, a bunch of Rennsport folks attend events there with UCR. That's probably the best bet.
I plan to do a few there this summer, will send out some feelers in advance so we can get a nice local group to head on down. Strange - it took a Mosport event last fall for me to meet some great folks from right here in Rennsport/Montreal - go figure.
