2017 Tremblant Rennsport Dates
#48
Looking forward to saying hi as well - what's your name?
As for Mosport (I can't utter 'Canadian Tire' in the same breath when referring to such a great track!), yeah, a bunch of Rennsport folks attend events there with UCR. That's probably the best bet.
I plan to do a few there this summer, will send out some feelers in advance so we can get a nice local group to head on down. Strange - it took a Mosport event last fall for me to meet some great folks from right here in Rennsport/Montreal - go figure.
Cheers
Matt

Same for me back in Ohio, it took a trip to Indy Motor Speedway to connect with people that lived less than 30min away (great experience btw... The track is OK, but beeing there, the F1 garages, the pagoda, the brick line at start / finish, and the museum made the experience special for me, would suggest to anyone willing to make the drive).
Once i get my track calendar sorted, ill post it up as well in case anyone wants to join.

Tons of private groups also utilize both tracks--between them and the marque clubs there are very few days during the season that one or both are idle.

Sweet. I'm in.
This is going to take some mobilization to make a success. I am raising my hand to help promote - this is a really fun technical track and a great facility.
The paddock and facilities are top notch. Really friendly folks running the track too. Pro flaggers. Etc.

I will need to work on re-enlisting the Ottawa Instructors that know the track since its not the easiest track to learn let alone Instruct at.

It's about time RSR revisited CMP!! I'd echo Carm's sentiments re the track's learning curve and would be more than happy to help out, as I'm sure will others from the area.
I was an attendee at the last RSR (3 day) event held at CMP in Aug 2012. Paddock temps hitting +36C followed by torrential rains on the Sunday afternoon closing the track. Ah, the memories.

Got a note from Clubreg about the October Calabogie event being on 2, 3 Oct: If it's a challenge to get enough participants, isn't it risky to have it on weekdays instead of a weekend?

Most RSR events are weekdays - I have no complaints, it works for me and most events are full, but yeah it's an additional consideration.
Lots of time to mobilize the Troops!
