Any fellow Rennsport peeps going to Watkins Glen Oct 3-4?
As I the end of my first season approaches I am looking to the long winter with dread. I was signed off yesterday and am now considering looking elsewhere to enjoy my newfound freedom. Erik Lange brought up the idea of Watkins Glen and I have been giving it serious consideration. Extending the season into October makes the break feel more tolerable. I brought it up with Philippe Bergeon (green driver) and he seemed genuinely interested.
I am curious to know if other RSR's are going and if there are any tips some of the veterans might pass on.
Also, I really like Philippe and other's in green. Is it ok to fraternize with run groups 'below' us? Not sure on the rules of etiquette here. ;-)

How the hell did you get signed off ?
I know its a haul for you all, especially for 2 days - but the Glen is fantastic (not quite Tremblant), but definitely a "big boy" track. Would be great to host you all for a change...

Tempting as it may be, I am signed on the 15-16 of October at Mosport with PCA-UCR. It's a little closer, stay this side of the border, and not as close to our RSR event in Sept.
Let me know if you or any others would be interested.

Maybe we can convince "the Hipster" to join!? As long as he doesn't bring his cucumber....(long story....can discuss over drinks)

It looks like Mosport may be the place to go in October (Notwithstanding Erik's invite). The question would be do Sergio and I seek out our Rennsport brothers from the Rennspoon crew or hide from them. Maybe we could buy some Upper Canada Region t-shirts to disassociate ourselves from them, just in case. Kinda like how Americans sometimes travel in Europe with Canadian flags on their backpacks. The cucumber/thong references make me a little nervous.

If you are referring to Oct 3&4 with Niagara Region - I have attended since 2011 and usually run with them in May as well.
Great bunch of people and its a well run event.
I'm registered and hope to go. Several friends from my local Pittsburgh region ARPCA like to go and it's a fun time.
I've been side lined with concussion recovery but I'm optimistic I'll be back on track by then. Fingers crossed.
I'm not familiar with the intricacies and references in this thread but sounds like you guys would probably bring this event to the next level (not sure whether it would be a level up or down )
