H James,
Bob got back to me and the number mix up is, indeed, a glitch. You keep your 44 and I keep my 41.
My problem is that I was apparently a bit late to register and they are short on instructors so my status is listed as pending even though I am listed on the drivers roster..
Bob sounded optimistic and said that I am number one on the list. Fingers crossed. Let this be a lesson for those who procrastinate! ;-)

I am in! Apparently someone bowed out so I got bumped up. I will make sure to come find you and introduce myself James. May the gods of mechanical misfortune pass us by.

No idea yet who my instructor is. At first I thought that sticking with one guy would be smart. At the first event I started off with Jonathan Katz and was temporarily traded to Rick Betterly. I ended day two with Jonathan. Because of that I now feel it would be better for us newbs to be exposed to many instructors. Both of mine were great but they were different in subtle ways. I'll be happy with whoever I am assigned to.
I think there is an attempt by PCA to have a similar experience for the greens regardless of the instructor. Despite that the personality of the individual comes through. Different lines, different brake points etc. I am super new to all this but I assume everyone develops a unique style to how they drive. I would think our style would be a combination of all that is learned from the various instructors that we are exposed to with a bit of our own thrown in.
I just realized that the reason I ended up getting some seat time with Rick was because of your misfortune on day one. Hope that all worked out for you.
