re WHEELS - OPINIONS PLEASE
My new car came with expensive, OE BLACK wheels.
To me, they look like ultra macho hockey pucks.
I prefer a spinning silver turbine look. Are they too hairdresser appropriate?
Any opinions?

Here's my suggestion

Bright jewelry and DE brake dust don't mix well, IMHO.
More curious as what's under the tarp, Joe, you hiding a 996tt from us?

Joe:
you've got black, why go back......but seriously, if you choose the VE wheels, they will not be warrantied with track use......just and FYI. So the black ones could be for track and the blingy, silver, brash, gucci, "spinning turbine" would have to be for the street.........besides, if you bring the bling to the track, they will put you back in green............ all comes down to personal choices........

Hey Joe,
I personally don't like tint on a white car.
White rims look really good on a white car so that would be my first choice away from silver.
By second choice would be charcoal and then black.
It's very personal, but for me if you wanted to keep the black you would need to remove the silver lip.

I would stick with the black, i think they look modern.
As for the match with the caliper color, at speed (what others will see) the brakes are the only thing showing, the black wheel actually disappearing.
I think gold is very '80s, my Esprit comes to mind...
