Where to look for a 964

I honestly don't think you'll have fun with a 930 on the track, unless you are an experienced track driver.
at 20K$, you have better chances finding a SC or even a 911 pre-G50 than a 964.
But any of these cars at that price, be prepared to spend a lot of money on them, no matter what.
911, 930 and 964 are totally different cars.

Also, any tips on how to sell my car in american dollars? It should not be easy to find a buyer from the us...

Right, so you think that the 964 is a better choice overall for me? I know that I'll spend a lot of cash to rebuilt it but that's not a problem... I'll have all my time to find it in further years, the big point is that I would like to find one right now at a decent price and maybe I already missed the boat but who knows...

Get Peter Zimmermann's book to help you figuring the "must know":
And when you think you found the right one, PPI, PPI, PPI.
I have no experience selling a car in USD.
You can always post your findings here for advice.
Good luck and be patient.

Hi! a 930 in good shape will go from 80,000$ to 150,000$ depending on year and shape, and like Ian said you need to be experience to enjoy them on the track. Look for 3.2 1987 and up or a 964 C2preferable 1992 to 1994 if you can find one. They are good and performent and most of all fun to drive.

Hey guys,
I received an email for a porsche 964 1990 at a really fair price! I'm going to see it tonight.
Any tips on what to inspect will be appreciated!
Thanks

Do a search ,i'm sure some threads about PPI's will have all the info you need ... although i would have it inspected by a competent shop like WeTune in Lachine should you decide on it,
they are really tops regarding older Porsches !
Cheers

Well, it's looking really good! It's a VGA car but it's in good shape. I think I'll bring it at Service Auto Premium for an inspection.
The only major problem... I'm stuck with my boxster ....
If you know anyone who could be interest: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details....dId=1049382307

Ask if the owner has the dossier with the photos showing how the car was rebuilt and where it was hit.. Check the panel gaps, how the doors close...I would put it on an alignment machine just to be sure.. All the PPIs I preform for clients include a check on the alignment rack.
