AUGUST 3 DAY DE
We have just enjoyed three magnificent days at LCMT. There was a large turn out of 120 cars, with drivers from near and far. Most of the usual Rennsport gang, though I did notice that some faces were absent.
Saturday, at lunchtime, many of us could share our passion with friends and family in the Charity Parade (?) drive, and I had friends come to witness the splendour of LCMT. Though we circulated at low speed, they could still get a thrill feeling the G's in the Esses, and acceleration on the back straight! My guests were delighted!
Speaking with some of the out-of-towners who came from Michigan, (17 hrs), Boston (8 hrs), Maine (8 hrs), New Hampshire (7 hrs),Toronto (6 hrs), I realized once again how fortunate we are to have this world class facility at our doorstep. Most of us can drive to Tremblant in about 90 minutes, arrive at the Tech line, and attend the divers' meeting almost instantly!
(Alternatively, we can be zooming down the McCullough in January!)
As always, the event was perfectly orchestrated, and we can thank Chris, Michael and all the Red Instructors for such an enviable event.
A very content, OCD track addict!
