John - great punchline! (I hope you didn't feel pressured into telling that tale...I kept my side of the deal and didn't tell anyone.)

...and thanks for the comments - I was actually quite impressed with my car. Just shows that, even a tiptronic cabriolet is still a real 964.

Now, when can I do another track day?

I'd love to, but it's just too far to go for another wet track day!

Don't worry, Rob, didn't feel too compelled - just felt this was a good place to come clean as there's only you, me and Dave that read it!

Just in case anyone else is reading this and thinks that track days are a risky business - don't be put off - you can very much set your own level of risk. Porsche Club days seem to be generally very well-behaved affairs.

You want to just tiptoe around? - No problem. You'll still enjoy yourself, learn a lot about your car and how to use it. And you'll still have earned the respect of the other people there just for 'doing it'.

John - just discovered that I can't do 23rd anyway. Just as well perhaps! I can wait for the Nurburgring!

We should ask JohnD to rename this forum. The JohnRobDave forum.

I've just had a nice chat with Johnfm on the phone. He'sgoing to have my G pipe, and we're goingto meet up at a weekend rather than posting. Nice eh?

Rob, have you still got Greg's Nurburgring/Derek Bell DVD?

I get a chuckle out of a lot of Arjan's sayings. There's something about someone who doesn't speak English as their first language that just seems to let them make such inspired sayings!

Edit: Reading my last sentence, there, you might think the comment applies to me!

So Rob,
Did you meet any nice girls while you were out last night? (This being a private forum I am entitled to ask personal questions like this!)
PS. Adele is laughing her head off that we are applying for our own forum!!
