If you can't find anywhere nearer, JZ Machtech are very good. They are based near Watford (NW London, close to M25 and on the railway line out of Euston). I have a friend who used to use JAZ in Wembley but he thinks that they have slipped a little so is now going to JZ as well.

Good luck!

Cheers,

David

I used JZ for new front struts/mounts/4wheel alignment + other bits and was very happy with them. I am going back next month for 12000 ml service and new clutch.

As mentioned above they are on a a train line from Euston which is next to my office so I drive the car to JZ early on a Monday morning from Essex and then they give me a lift to the station and I go to work. Then reverse the process later in the week after work to collect it.

So far so good....

I know he's not a main dealer but
I think we should add Bert at Berlyn Services too. He is or was the official tech help for the club and always has time to offer advice from his seemingly vast experience. never had a wrong part delivered and prices are excellent.

Thumbs up

Kevin,

I used to live in Essex and used Autostrasse. They are excellent! I cannot recommend them enough. They are very honest and are good at being pragmatic when recommending what you need to have done and what would be nice to be done. You want to talk to Ken or Alan; their number is in 911 World. Say hi from me if you talk to them.

Cheers,

David

Whatever you do dont use La Rose of Sevenoaks. They did a service on my 944 Turbo and forgot to change the airfilter or plugs despite charging me. The transaxle fluid was found to be very low too.
What they did do was give me a list of work that needed to be done with a cost of over £3000.00 I did the work myself over a long weekend and the cost????
£130.00 as most of their recommendations were not required (NewAir Flow Meter etc. etc...)
They will not be getting my car again, in fact I would not trust them to service a Toilet!

And so say all of us!!!

His service and aftersales is second to none, and he is always prepared to go beyond the call of duty if you are in a jam

Viva la Bert!!!!

I have too totally agree on Design 911 here!

I always, but always, use Iain at Specialist Cars of Malton, great service, friendly, helpful and very competitive ( as well as prepared to negotiate) on cost.

Unfortunatly, I was waiting on Pagid supplying Specialist for brake pads, I held off buying a lump of bits and bobs to save on the postage and in the end Iain admitted Pagid had let him down.

Being desparate for a track day, I went to Design 911 on a Wed afternoon, totally agree with the phone attitude, awful! Like they were doing you a favour!

The items were promised next day, fine for my Saturday track day. They eventually arrived the following Thusrday after being 'lost by DHL.'

Missed the track day, f£$%&Rs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The attitude of a female member of staff on the phone whilst I was complaining was the worst I have ever dealt with in any Company of any time! Claimed I had an attitude problem and I that I should not be bothering her or DHL regarding my lost paid for package!

Their first and last, and I could not care less if they offer a 10% discount!

Do notice however, that they are Europorscha as well, used to run two different websites with differing costs for the same parts from the same address!

Stay clear, simple as that!
