Talking Just another noobie saying hi

Hi guys. I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. (I only just noticed the UK page!)

Background: I have one Son aged 11, am divorced, and as of last Friday, have a lot less money in my account. LOL

I have just purchased my first 911. My first Porsche as it happens.
She is a 1989 3.2 Carrera Targa in Black with beige Leather.

The car has done 114K miles, had a full tope end rebuild 10K ago and is close to mint, (well as mint as a daily driver can be). It is not a show car, nor will it be. I intend to drive it daily, giving my 1984 Ur quattro (Also Black) a little break.

Looks like I have alot of reading to do on these forums, just to get upto speed on techie things. I will post some piccies asap.

For the last 7 years Penelope has been serviced by a porsche specialist in Brierly Hill, B'Ham, called 'Two Plus Two'. I called these guys prior to purchase and they were very helpful. Pulled out their records and pointed at a couple of things that helped in the final negotiations with the PO.

Have any of you guys used Two Plus Two? When my car is due a service, I shall take it back to them. However, if anyone can recommend a good garage with good rates etc in the Midlands, I am all ears.

In the meantime, can you suggest where I should go to aquire a new rear wiper motor, or are they repairable? Mine is just very very slow.

Good to meet you all.

ps. What a hoot!!!

After years of driving quattros' fast in the rain, this thing is the most fun this side of Tahiti! If you know what I mean ;o)

Hi Mark.

I really like PCT in Coventry (same site as Autobahn). They used to be in Birmingham city centre.

I particularly like the Smart car I get to use whilst they work on mine!

Hi Mark & welcome .
My previous car was an Audi S2 turbo Q . The handling of it simply does not compare to my C2, it feels half the weight . Still, i don't feel anywhere near as safe going round corners quickly in the wet !!
