Default Ethanol vs. Non-Ethanol

Hi. Been searching on opinions of using 90 octane ethanol free fuel versus 91-93 octane with 10% ethanol in a Porsche. I'd like to use the non-ethanol but wonder if the lower octane will cause a problem in a '09 Cayenne GTS.
Any input is appreciated.

Your car is modern enough not to have to worry about the effects of ethanol on the fuel system. Not sure I'd spend extra $$$ purchasing a lower-octane fuel than manufacturer's spec.

I DO, however, run 90-octane ethanol-free "Rec Fuel" in my car, a '79 with all kinds of mushy parts that do not like ethanol.

Well...although I do buy it in 55 gal. drums, the Captain Morgan is for me. Car gets 90 Rec Fuel.

For me, octane rules, so I buy 93 octane with the ethanol. Last year I could easily find 93 pure gas in places like Wisconsin. Now, I can only see 91 pure gas. I purchased an ethanol test kit a few months ago. Most 93 I tested this spring was about 5-6% ethanol. Now, the summer gas is showing right at 9% ethanol. Oh well.

Default Octane wins out

Well, that also confirms what I heard from two other reliable sources. One being the tech at the dealership. Gotta' run 93 ethanol or no ethanol. 90 is ok only in an emergency and only for a tank or two....they might start carrying
93 which would the best of both worlds. I've actually been using Chevron 93 in both the Porsche and a MB CLK-550 with good results.
Thanks for the input.
