Default Any good backroads in Orlando Longwood area?

Are there any good driving roost in the Orlando Longwood area To enjoy my GT3 on. I am spoiled here in Pa as there are beautiful roads within 5 mins from my house. I have not seen any here in Florida. I will be moving to the Wekiva Springs area. Would love to hear about C&C's and Cruise nights as well. Thanks

there are hilly roads in the Mount Dora, Tavares, and especially Howey-in-the-hills areas.
About 30 mins from Longwood

The Ocala National Forrest has a nice mix of curvy and straight (desolate) roads. It can take a lot of driving (my typical loop is 1.5-2 hours) but it is great fun! NE145th Ave off of SR40 is particularly good fun.

I can agree with Foster! The roads near Yalaha Bakery are very nice too. There's some nice road between there and Ocala.

If you ever want to exercise the RS America let me know, we'll go cruise!

There are many, Tavares, Mt Dora, Plymouth, up to Deland all good little two lanes with interesting stops if you pay attention. Once you get settled give a shout. Know there are some great flat outs north of Bunnell South of Green Cove Springs. Salt Springs Byway, and Black Bear Scenic in the Ocala National Forrest can be enjoyable but watch for the motorcycles.

C&C will be down in Celebration 2nd Saturday of the month from 8am to 10am, best roads near Longwood have all been mentioned. The Porsche club gets together at the dealer first Monday of the month.
If you venture out there's a few nice roads in Clermont like sugar loaf
, watch for motorcycles! There's a really nice road that goes from St Cloud to Okeechobee.

Nice video. Wow, that road looked pretty straight, lol. ;-). It is beautiful around Mt Dora, I went there last weekend.

Hate to revive a tad older thread. I just posted an inquiry on roads in the central FL area, funny Mt Dora roads were suggested as I live there now. I agree, I found some cool roads off 46 near my house. OP if ever up for a drive, hit me up, I am around on the weekends.

Ken
