I get these too. Generally on the iPad. I don't see a way to stop them.

I had to restart my iPad the other day. I couldn't close the window. I realize the fees here are small, but I would think something could be done by a savvy internet company to prevent this?

Are you kidding me.

Use an adblocker.

You should be using one anyways.

I get this ad every once in a while too on my iPhone. Rennlist is run by internet brands - their goal is purely to optimize Rennlist to generate them the most ad revenue, even if it means annoying pop up ads for Walmart gift card scam.

Could you recommend one that is easy to use and "safe"?

Another one that I find to work very well is Adguard. Its easy to install and also works great with "Safari".

If you join Rennlist for a nominal fee, there are no ads. (I'm writing this from my iPhone so I can't see your user info, but I'm assuming you're a non-member). If I open Rennlist from a computer where I'm not automatically logged in I'm always surprised by the number of ads.

I've been using uBlock Origin for a while now. I walked away from Adblock when I learned that companies could pay to get past it.

This thread is in OT which is for paying members only. I have ads displayed if my blocker isn't turned on.
