For the past couple days, all the posts I have never read are highlighted. In the past, it was only posts that were new since the last time I signed on. Was the software changed? Or do I need to change some setting? I much prefer the way it was.

As far as I know, I have not changed anything here.

I noticed this too, and you know what? I love it! One of my biggest pet peeves of this forum was that checking in was a commitment- if I click to read one post, I'd better be prepared to spend an hour checking every other forum I frequently, lest I lose the "last read" function and have to laboriously go through and find what the last post was that I actually read. Now... I don't have to worry about that. I much prefer it this way; I think you will, too, once you get used to it.

Since I typically only check back on threads I've posted to, I always use the 'My Recent Topics' link located along the top tool bar.

If it's a thread I have interest in following without posting in, I use the 'subscribe to thread' feature, located in the Thread Tools dropdown located above the thread.

The change is an improvement. Threads which have not been updated now allow you to go to the first unread post directly. Bravo!

I don't agree that it's an improvement. I don't see a way to track what's been updated since my last visit anymore.

I'm not sure of the improvement...I found it much better before. I liked seeing topics that had shown up since my last visit.

Well that explains it. I thought I was having computer issues or some kind of a virus. I think I liked the old way better. But now that I understand what's going on, it might become an improvement.
