It used to be that posts in the marketplace were viewable to everyone and member to member classifieds was just that, and each one had it's own purpose. Now both are member to member and are often used by sellers to advertise the same item in two different places. It would be far more useful to create an area (like "member forums" or "air cooled forums") for all classified ads to be and within it sub-categories, such as:
Vehicles for sale (viewable to all)
Parts for sale (viewable to members only)
Other items for sale (viewable to members only)

This would make the expectations of each forum very clear and eliminate double posting.

There seems to be enough confusion to cause sellers to list items in multiple listings and manage multiple threads for the same item. I'm looking for some clarity and reorganization.
Within "Rennlist Member Forums" there is "For Sale Ads... (Member to Member Classifieds)", "Rennlist Recycler (Post Your Free Giveaways Here)", and "Stuff Wanted Ads... (Member to Member Classifieds)".
Within "Rennlist Classifieds" there is "Parts Marketplace".
It was built like that because only members could see forums in "Rennlist Member Forums" and everyone could see threads in "Rennlist Classifieds". This is no longer true as "Parts Marketplace" is now members only. Because this forum is located in a separate section I feel that sellers treat this forum differently and list the part that they are selling in "For Sale Ads... (Member to Member Classifieds)" as well as the "Parts Marketplace".
I propose that all aforementioned forums be together in one group and that the "For Sale Ads... (Member to Member Classifieds)" be renamed "Non-Parts For Sale Ads... (Member to Member Classifieds)" to avoid confusion and double posts.

Actually, non-members can see and post in topics within the Classifieds forums - they just can't start a new listing or sell in them.
