993 club sport
Could you buy a 993 Club Sport with a 3.6 motor instead of the RS 3.8 motor? So you would have a light 2800# 993 with manual windows, no sunroof, no a/c and a 3.6 motor. Club Racing in the US allows us to update/backdate to these models. I have made all the RS changes but still have a 3.6 motor. So even if it was a limited production looser a 3.6 powered club sport is my ticket.
Thanks for your help.

Dear Bill,
Never heard of one. The club sport was an option package. It is really not correct for them to be a 993 CS. I know they are but it does create confusion.
As you know the CS package was offered by Porsche Motorsports for the 3.8 litre 993 RS.
It is possible that somebody did order such a package but how you would find out escapes me at this time. This would be a special customer request.
I would suggest you contact Porsche Motorsports direct and ask them.
I would also check out the English web sites for Porsche tuning. They tend to have the more weird and wonderful Porsches over there.
Ciao,
Adrian

Thanks Adrian,
A few people suggested ordering the Service Information Technik. I just got my copy and it spells out the RS and CS option package. No such thing as a 3.6 RS or RSCS try as I might. So "in" go the kits.
