Default Top Gear Stole My Idea

Months ago I emailed Top Gear to tell them

a) To make their 'Star in reasonably priced car' feature more relevant they needed to have control studies.

I suggested

1. They have F1 drivers try out. This would show them how quickly the best drivers did it, and would give the 'star/driver ability' relative status against this.

2. They needed to have a 'non-celebrity' drive the track. ie. Myself. This would give the 'driver ability/star' relative measure against my non-celebrity status.

I never heard a peep from them, but hey presto a few months later they had a great idea ' lets invite F1 drivers to have a go'.

Im pissed that some junior researcher will have got a pat on the back for their idea, Im pissed I didnt get a go. Im most pissed about the fact no-one replied to the email...

They must pay you some fee at least, or invite to the next program

I consider just be honoured and having the bragging rights.

I would also consider writing a letter, including your original email. You might just get a free trip to be on the program. Even better would be able to drive the course as the "unknown star"
