Service recommendation - Downtown or Oakville?
Hey gents,
Bought my car at Pfaff but realistically too far for me for service.
I live in Oakville and work Yonge/King, so either Oakville or Downtown would work assuming Downtown has a shuttle service. I'm looking to establish a relationship at one or the other. Would appreciate hearing recent service experiences good or bad. Thanks.

I'm in a similar boat. Have purchased my cars from Pfaff but always service downtown because I work close by. Service for me has always been excellent. Rob Carroll is a very knowledgeable service advisor.

DFC only provides Pcars as a loaner to the customer who bought the car from there. Rental cars for the ppl in for warranty from other dealership. Oakville provides Pcars to any customers under warranty.

I have used Downtown for four cars over the past ten years, and service is absolutely excellent, especially compared to downtown Mercedes or BMW which are not good at all. Robert Carroll is also my service advisor and is superb. Never suggests unnecessary stuff and genuinely cares about the customer. Definitely recommend.
I have nothing against Oakville incidentally, just live downtown so have not used them.

If you are set on taking it to a dealership - I would have no problems using Oakville - I went there for a tech session and complimentary inspection - their customer service team seemed very personable and attentive.
That said, I know many who use Downtown and love them - but no personal experience.
I'm a fan of indies for out of warranty work and maintenance anyway - I find they are more willing to use a better part even if it isn't Porsche OEM for example. Not to mention they tend to be a whole lot cheaper. (i.e., I was quoted about $250-300 more for an oil change at a Porsche dealership).

I bought at Pfaff and now service at PCO because I moved to Oakville. No issues with Pfaff or PCO. I go to the dealer for most maintenance since my car is under warranty (realize you don't have to but my preference). As others mention you get a Porsche loaner if available. Service is good at PCO and better environment to wait in than Pfaffs current shop. Also any time I've been it's not busy, imo that provides a better experience.

Hi Peter, welcome back to the Porsche fold I have used both DFC and PCO and both are good. I only use PCO nowadays, mainly because the location is more convenient for me.

I prefer Oakville location and waiting area (complete with coffee snacks etc...), I believe they will drop off and pickup your car from downtown as well.

I've always had great experiences at PCO. Don't hesitate to introduce yourself to Tom Berger, After Sales Manager and John Licari, Parts Manager. Both great guys. They also have one of the best master techs in the business - Dirk Dunschede.

Oakville. Best service experience of my life. Oil change? They came a picked it up and dropped off a Cayenne!

Thanks for all of the input guys. Much appreciated and thanks for the warm welcomes back. It is good to be back in a Porsche.
The Macan still has a couple of years on the manufacturer's warranty plus an extended warranty so will go to dealer for that car.
C4S only has a 6-month warranty so may go indy for that one.
