Default Otto Upgrade

Hey guys, I've had my 997.2 since 2011 and the only upgrade that I have done was to install some new clear markers on the corners of my front fenders.

My original wheels are in great shape but since I set my eyes on the 997.2 Turbo 11 Wheel by Otto Fuchs that were standard issue on the Turbo 997.2 they caught my eye and I was on a mission to find a used set in near perfect condiiton. I was a bit sceptical about the fitment as all that I found for sale over 2 yrs were "wide body offsets" only. It wasn't until I read a thread "The Diary of a 2011 Carrara White 997.2 C2 PDK" by ElectricChair that confirmed the fitment.

It took a while looking from LA to PEI but then my pal MYW gave me a heads up about some wheels for sale in Toronto. I almost gave up on finding these wheels but I made the trip and bought them that day.

I changed the tires from my OEM rears 295's to the new wheel as a 305's rear tire that came on the Turbo 11 wheel stuck out a little too much for my liking.
Special thanks to Michael

offer 1900 shipped to toronto. the tires are from 2007-2011 so are pretty much worthless (or have him remove them so that shipping will cost even less).

seller seems like a decent guy but not sure if the brightest seller as that ad has been running for 24 months (if not even longer) on kjijii.

the wheels came off a genuine turbo so are wide body fitment for both front and rear (8.5+56, 11+51), identical to neil's set above, the are in very good condition with only a few blemishes. for a typical moderately driven 911 i would assume the condition is fine.

I always loved those wheels, they look great in any Porsche model, on the Cayenne they look terrific.
I never liked the wheels of the 997.1 Turbo.

IMHO I personally like your original 5 spoke sport Carrera rims vs. Those turbo rims. There are just too many replica rims of those turbos. The original rims are clean and classic 5 spokers....hope you didn't sell them🍻

Thanks guys, I'm really **** about the condition of used wheels, I got lucky with this set. They're a darker rim and hide the brake dust pretty good

^ Nice wheels too. I gained 16mm out on the rears, with 7mm out and 5mm in on the fronts as they are 8.5" wide

+1.
new ones look good but, I like the old ones better. All that matters is what you like. Enjoy.
