Default Anyone have a boxster 2.7 or 3.2 crankshaft?

I'm looking for a crankshaft for my 996, thrust bearing has given up the ghost and so needs to be repaired/replaced.

Apparently the Boxster part detailed below also works:

Boxster 2.7 and 3.2 ym2000 will interchange with 98-00 3.4 part number 99610201157.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

Call Donald Parke - dismantler in Ohio. Has lots of access to Porsche parts. Nice guy and reasonable pricing, have used him before for Boxster stuff.

996 and equivalent used crankshafts are hard to find because of the idiotically high prices of the new ones. Have you tried contacting a shop to weld up the trust face and re grind it to stock spec?

What about a Boxster 2.5 crankshaft? Would that work?

I've got a buddy that swapped a 3.4 into his Boxster and has the original 2.5 for sale. I could get you a price if that's of any interest, as you could sell off the rest to recoup your money.
