Thumbs up Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3 on SALE at Canadian Tire

I bought ONLINE a set of 4 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3 tires 205-55-16 for my DD for $121.57 each, thats like a $40 discount off MSRP. They are blowing out the the Pilot Sport A/S3, this price is essentially cost price, so anyone looking for a great tire should give it a go.

I bought online in the morning and picked them up this afternoon.

The other sizes are on SALE as well, use this direct link to the Pilot Sport A/S3 deal:
http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/mi...-2085700p.html

Input the store info near you but if stock is low, you can source from different stores near you, by scrolling down to Product Availability to search the CT stores near you.

Cheers!

Thanks for posting this.

Thinking about getting these to replace my factory OEM tire (Bridgestone runflats) but the Pilot Sport A/S3 seem to have mixed reviews on tread life. Could anyone chime in? I put in about 35,000KM/year.

My other option is to pony up and get the Pilot Super Sports since I already have a set of winter wheels/tires.

A real tire expert may have more details but as far as I know they changed the A/S3 couple of times, recently Michelin launch the A/S3+ to compete against Cooper RS3-A and RS3-S as well as the new Continental Sport Tire comping out in a month or two.

Default UPDATE

Unfortunately there are no more complete 16 inch sets (205-55-16) near me in Markham but two or three at different stores, search by scrolling down to product availability to search the CT stores near you.

As I write this there are some at these Canadian Tire stores:
3 at 2900 Major MacKenzie Road East, Markham
2 at 3553 Lawrence Ave East, Scarborough
2 at 1090 Hoover Park Drive, Stouffville
3 at 6310 Yonge Street,Toronto (Yonge & Steeles)
2 at 1735 Pickering Parkway, Pickering

The 17 and 18 inch sizes are on SALE as well but I have no optics on those but a buddy just got back to me, seems every store has different quantity and the prices vary, he was able to find 92Y at a reasonable price so far for 225/40/18 92Y

Regular $229
Online $175

In-store sale sticker $197
In-store scanned price $154

225/40/18 92Y:
Pickering has 4
Oshawa (Wilson) has 8
Oshawa (Gibb) has 4
Whitby (Consumers) has 4

Good Luck!

Mike, I had the AS/3 on my BMW in Vancouver. They're not as good as Super Sports, but are likely about 1.5x as long-wearing and would be less dangerous if you drive in late fall or early spring without your winters. Both are definitely a premium tire.

I installed these last Spring on my 993 and I am very happy after my first full season. Got tired of burning up Super Sports for zero noticeable improvement on the street. I don't track the car so I'd rather put the savings from longer tread wear into my pocket.

Thanks, Charlie.

Looks like I'll just stick with the factory run flats and live with it.

IMO runflats suck. They are noisy, expensive, and have to be changed if you get a flat anyways after about 100km so what is the point?

These tires are absolute ****, do not buy them. We bought them last year for our X1, presently at 24000km and there is ZERO traction in the snow. I know dedicated winters are better, however these are the worst all seasons I have experienced.
